Wonen, nostalgie en technologie
P.H. Arends
The transition from dwelling to living is analysed as a transition from truth — i.e. the self-consciousness of primary perceptions and feelings — to ideology — i.e. the methodological self-consciousness of technology. Anthropologists and fenomenologists tried to Eind new possibilities of dwelling in the subjective experience. Three scholars of the Sigmund Freud Institute in Frankfurt criticised the Functionalism in architecture by means of psychodynamical concepts. Planning in the outside world is immediatedly resulting in a planned 'inside world'. Is the psychiatrie care merely a neutralisation of the undesired long term effects of technology?
