Deficit states in bipolar disorder?
J.P.C.J. Selten, T. Kuipers
In a study of the relevant literature the authors arrive at the conclusion that up to the present date there are no adequate case histories of deficit states in bipolar disorder. The residual state described by Huber bears more resemblance to a neurasthenic than to a deficit state. The authors notice some unresolved problems in differential diagnosis. There is a lack of neuropsychological research in this domain.
