In this article several aspects are discussed of psychotherapy with children in 'therapeutic foster-family placement' (T.G.V.). T.G.V. is considered a method of treatment for emotionally disturbed children (mostly with affective disorders) which lies in between on the one hand a total-institutional setting and on the other hand forster-family placement without some form of intensive counseling.
