Short report
Reciproke inhibitie, in het bijzonder desensitiseren
M.P. Bolten
After a short introduction on the theoretical principles underlying psychotherapy by reciprocal inhibition, a description is given of the most important features in a desensitization procedure. The difficulties one may meet when constructing a hierarchy and inducing relaxation are mentioned. Some possible alternative means to attain desensitization are discussed. Finally, the procedure is illustrated by an account of the treatment in a case of claustrophobia.
