Een psycho-analystische benadering van een culturele ontwikkeling en crisis-fenomenen
This essay was written with the purpose to throw some light upon the cultural crisis in Indonesia.
It is based on objective psychological data and for this purpose the method of analysing of Adolf Meyer was used.
Significant experiences of cultural changes forced upon by other cultural groups and the ambivalent attempts of Sukarno to propagate old and new customs in order to create a new order, a new Indonesian (the so-called Kepribadian Indotzesia), result in frustrations, growing aggressiveness and self-imposed slavery. The growing insecurity caused by oppression opens the way for open aggression and gives the motivation for a surge to freedom.
However it is apparent that this essay is polemical and rather partisan. But, in this world where abstainees are considered a weak minority and often become a scapegoat, it is not unwarranted to make understand the objective psychological sides of this crisis.
