Verslag van een psychotherapeutisch viergesprek met een echtpaar, waarvan de vrouw herstellende was van een psychotische toestand
The psychotherapeutic sessions of two therapists with a married coup le, of whom the wife was recovering from a psychosis, were held with two points in mind:
1 Is therapy of this kind indicated for this married couple and how can the possible results be evaluated.
2 Can therapy of this kind in general be included in the therapeutic arsenal when one partner of the couple involved is being treated in a psychiatric clinic. If so, under which circumstances and to what extent is there anything to be said as to the form which the therapists can give to a therapeutic situation of this kind.
The provisional indication which led to the tentative short-term treatment was discussed and also the way the results, which were favourable in the view of the therapists, were recorded by means of objective methods.
The therapists compiled from the dictaphone the 'interventions' and their personal and joint attitudes with which they developed the therapy during the sessions.
These data were classified and reported as fully as possible.
