The article deals with the rights of the certified patient, as limited by the law; the violation of the law in everyday practice; the protection of the so-called voluntary or non-opposing patient, particularly the men tal defective and the senile patient; the sensible limitation of the rights of the certified patient to the absolutely indispensable.
