Y. Paalvast, W.A. Nolen
summary
The main results of the Sequenced Treatment Alternatives to Relieve Depression (star*d) study are discussed in order to find out whether the results should lead to changes in the way in which depression is treated in the Netherlands. The outcomes of the star*d study are not sufficient justification for altering the current recommendations about the successive steps to be taken according to the Dutch multidisciplinary guideline for the treatment of depression.
