Psychosis in children with the Prader-Willi syndrome. A case study
P.J.L. Collin, H. Boer, A. Vogels, L.M.G. Curfs
The Prader-Willi syndrome has often been associated with psychotic disorders that occur almost exclusively in patients with maternal uniparental disomy or an imprinting defect. Previous research and case studies give the age of onset as thirteen years or over. In this case study we discuss two children with Prader-Willi-syndrome who developed psychotic symptoms when they were only eight years old.
