A short course of eclectic psychotherapy for a Turkish patient with posttraumatic stress disorder. A case study

Immigrants have a greater chance of developing posttraumatic stress disorder. Cultural differences and communication problems can have an adverse effect on treatment. In our article we describe a 55-year-old Turkish woman who suffered from posttraumatic stress disorder following the fireworks disaster at Enschede and who was treated successfully with a short course of eclectic psychotherapy.
