New criteria for the specialist training in psychiatry: The position of geriatric psychiatry
Geriatric psychiatry has become an important subspecialty of psychiatry, also in the Netherlands. Regional mental health care planning includes separate facilities for the elderly. This article shows how geriatric psychiatry could be integrated both in the basic and the specialized training in psychiatry.
