'Duration of Untreated Psychosis' and the course of schizophrenia
The relation between dup and the course of schizophrenia, and the extent in which dup is independent of other prognostic variables will be discussed. Repeatedly a relation has been found between dup and the course of schizophrenia in different groups of patients. Decreasing dup probably improves outcome. It remains unclear if dup is independent of other prognostic factors.
