'Models of madness' in a dynamic psychiatry
P.P.G. Hodiamont, M.W. Berting, W.J.M. van Hezewijk
This study examined the discrepancy between the patterns of values and standards of professionals in the clinical and community (or social) mental health service. The professionals in clinical psychiatry prefer the impaired and medical or social models, the professionals in community psychiatry don't show a clear preference. The discussion focusses on the theoretical and practical implications of these findings to a merger of clinical and social psychiatry.
