Arachnoid cyste in a patiënt with psychosis: a coincidence?
J.A. van Waarde, A. Janse, C.A.E. Goris
In a patient who was admitted for a history of schizophrenic symptoms, at neurologic examination a Babinski was found. Neuropsychological assessment showed some cues for cerebral pathology. Computerized-tomography of the brain showed an arachnoid cyst in the middle cranial fossa. With this case-report a few hypotheses about the possible relationship between organic cerebral disorders and psychosis are discussed.
