Lacan on psychosis: a particular clinical perspective
K. Libbrecht
Lacan s conceptualization of the clinical structure of psychosis is synonymous with a particular clinical approach of the psychotic patient. Departing from an elaboration of what is meant by a psychoanalytic perspective on psychosis, the close relationship between theory and praxis in Lacan s conceptualization of psychosis is examined. In this way it is shown how his clearly abstract and difficult to enter theorizations clarify a specific clinical reality, and in what way they could be rendered useful for the clinical practice of psychiatrists.
