Worldwide partial hospitalization at night seems to be an uncommon practice. In Belgium partial hospitalization at night is included in the programmation of psychiatric facilities. The `Brussels Nighthospital' is an active rehabilitation service for `New Chronic' psychotic patients. We provide treatment in the evening and accomodation at night in combination with a useful activity in the community. In the rehabilitation of seriously disabled patiënts, at risk of long-stay hospitalization, partial hospitalization at night can be an alternative for conventional services.
