In an earlier contribution the author discussed the disadvantages of the current system of classification of personality disorders on axis II of DSM and the disadvantages a two-or three-dimensional approach would have. In this paper the disadvantages of a multi-dimensional approach are discussed. A suggestion of a multi-dimensional approach that would not have some of these disadvantages is put forward.
