A la recherche du... déjà vu
H.N. Sno, D.H. Linszen
The déjà vu is a common experience occurring both in (psycho)pathological disorders as in so-called normal conditions. It has been described as: Any subjectively inappropriate impression of familiarity of the present, with an undefined past.
In this article the epidemiological and phenomenological aspects are discussed. The various hypotheses in elucidation of the déjà vu experience are reviewed, followed by the introduction of an explanation based on the hologram as amnestic model.
