Anxiety and depressive symptoms are often seen at the same time. This is also shown by looking at anxiety and affective disorders with the help of the SCL-90 (symptom checklist), a self-assessment scale.
The revision of the DSM-III-classification by which it is made possible to diagnose together a major depressive disorder and an anxiety disorder is an improvement.
