Gender-identily disturbances in transsexualists
B.A. van Duivenboode-von Bargen
The most far-reaching gender-identity disturbance — transsexualism — is described as it is found in literature and from own experience. The writer points at the different views in literature regarding the transsexual syndrome especially its differences and similarities with other syndromen in which cross-dressing plays an important role. Some of the experiences of the Rotterdam team for transsexualism are compared with the findings in the literature.
