Rotterdamse stadsbuurten en haar devianten
Town-area's of Rotterdam and their deviant people, (The evolution of an ecological research-project) — Some researchproblems arising, when entertaining a study of the ecological distribution of psychiatrie patients in Rotterdam, are dicussed.
The fieldwork had to be proceeded by some theoretical issues. The issues involved, were: relevance of the ecological approach, definition of psychiatrie 'patient' and its operationalization into a target population and definition of the area of a town. These four questions are discussed in paragraph 1, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3.
Paragraph 3 and 4 respectively contain the finally selected variables and the more clearly defined research-problem.
Finally, we present some preliminary results, from which one clear impression emerges: there is a typical geographical urban residence-pattern of people, for whom admission in a psychiatric hospital was requested, of foreign-born people and others.
