Creative Therapy with Neurotics
A.H. Hijmans van den Bergh
In creative therapy (CT), we are to worry about consistent therapy rather than about marginal niceties. Various therapeutic aims in CT and various modes of its use with groups or individuals are distinguished. It is shown that in a residential setting a 'therapy' is part of a whole rather than a particular bag of tricks. The application of the craft of intensive psychotherapy to CT is demonstrated with particular reference to the psychotherapeutic centre 'De Viersprong'. Attention is given to the history of CT in general as well as to the history of psychotherapeutic CT in one particular institution.
