General aspects of environmental hygiene

Comment is given on the close relation between environmental health and population growth. The laster is an important originator of the deteriorisation of the environment.
Space — one of the most important components of the environment — is for example betoming starter by the increase in population with all its implications from a physical and mental point of view.
The importance of human ecology is pointed out. Successively is dealt with the pollution of air, water and land, the waste problem, road accidents, the noiseand housing problem.
The necessity is stressed for population control and family planning as well as a change in the fundamental values of life.
