The experience sampling method: from science to clinical application in depression
explanation Emotional dynamics in daily life are important in all psychiatric disorders. Investigating these dynamics can result in a better understanding of the risk factors, pathophysiology, phenomenology, treatment response, relapse and comorbidity of psychiatric disorders. This symposium focuses on the possibilities of the experience sampling method in the study of depression.
The authors will provide an introduction to the experience sampling method and discuss new findings and therapeutic applications of daily life measurement of emotional dynamics in depression.
aim At the end of the symposium, the participant will be familiar with the experience sampling method, its value in unraveling emotional dynamics in daily life in depression, and its potential as a therapeutic tool in the treatment of depression.
