B. van der Goot, R.A. van der Pol, V.M. Vladár Rivero
In May 1990 the characteristic features of (977) patients who entered the acute services of eighteen regional ambulatory departments for community mental health care in the Netherlands (RIAGG) were studied. One of the investigated features was the presence of life events. This article describes the differences between patients with and patients without life events. Patients with life events show significantly more depressive complaints while patients without life events show more psychotic problems.
