Short report
Het overgankelijk bewustzijn (deel I)
E. Verbeek
This article is a revision of earlier published conceptions about hallucinating and deluding, and moreover gives an amplification of the modalities of being conscious as the author has expounded in his book 'De Sympathische Mens'.
There exist three modalities, the sympathetical or original mode of being conscious, secondly the perceiving and thirdly the reflective modes. One of these dominates temporarily the other two, but this domination is transitive, that is to say in adequate relation with the requirements and restrictions of environment and situation.
Especially hallucinating and deluding, as modes of pathological perceiving, are treated extensively in the light of this conception of transitive consciousness.
