Short report
Inzichts- en desensitisatie-therapie toegepast op een via hypnose opgewekt symptoom*
R.W. Ramsay, J.T. Barendregt
A fear for crossing out letters was induced in 33 normal subjects by means of hypnosis. This was succesful in 26 cases. An inexperienced therapist then administered two forms of therapy to each subject: one therapy a form of rational insight therapy and the other a form of desensitization. Both therapies were successful, with a slight advantage for desensitization. By means of rehypnosis any residual phobic reactions were removed.
