Short report
Ervaringen bij het psychologisch onderzoek van alkoholici in de verslavingskliniek 'Leefdael'
W.C.M. Smits
On the basis of psychological investigation of 70 alcoholic patients three observations can be made.
1 Experimental psychological results show no significant differentiation between the alcoholic patient and the normal subject.
2 This raises the question as to whether other methods should be developed for the psychological investigation. Projection-tests for example are not useful. On the other hand the response to laboratory procedure itself is instructive.
3 A combination of psychological investigation and observation of behaviour is needed.
The revalidation of psychological functions — if disturbed — is useful.
