Short report
Outpatient services in a city area
R. Giel, G.H.M.M. ten Horn
A Dutch psychiatric case register served to study the contribution to the delivery of mental health care to the area-population by a variety of outpatient services. There is obviously some overlap between services in the patterns of care and the types of patients seen. The former social psychiatric service and the outpatient department of a mental hospital are both least specific. An estimation of their cost shows that this varies per diagnostic category as well as per service.
