Music Therapy and Theory (towards a harmony of spheres)

In this article the author explores characteristic aspects of the use of music in therapy and classifies relevant issues as concerning either the relationships between music and basic life processes or the musical expression and experience of patients. Correspondingly two new fields of study are pro, posed: 'biomusicology' and 'clinical musicology'. Music therapy; musicology; psychology of music.
