summary A 15-year-old girl, with medication resistent nihilistic delusions, suicidality and cachexia (severe loss of weight with rejection of food and drinks) was admitted instantly. Electroconvulsive therapy gave substantial improvement of her clinical condition. This case study shows ectas a treatment for adolescents with medication resistent life-threatening psychotic depressive disorders in adolescents.
