Assessing grief after a pregnancy loss

Until recently there was a lack of adequate measures for assessing grief after a pregnancy loss. The Perinatal Grief Scale (PGS), developed in the USA, has proved to be a reliable measure, which is supposed to be indicative of normal grief as well as pathological grief reactions. In this paper we present the results of a Dutch investigation into the short version of the PGS.
