A drug-robot in a general psychiatric hospital

This article discusses an advanced automated drugdistribution system, used in a general psychiatric hospital, a drug robot. The system is described; a trial and the application of the system in a 800-bedded hospital is discussed.
According to the opinion of psychiatrists, nurses, patients and pharmacy personal the system appears to be safe, consumer oriented and financial benefit is clear. It increases the therapeutic possibilities, reduces mistakes and can be used for in- and outpatients as well as in clinical trials.
