Pills and talking: on treatment where a psychotherapist and a psychiatrist are involved
J. Spijker
Complicated transference reactions and problems with allocation of duties and responsibilities are mentioned as the most important issues in therapies that integrate psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy involving the services of a psychotherapist and a psychiatrist. In a study carried out on a department for psychotherapy, the results show that therapists and patients are content with this treatment mode but psychotherapists and psychiatrists differ in their opinions on the allocation of duties.
