De ambulante behandeling van 25 patiënten met een obsessief-compulsieve neurose
C.A.L. Hoogduin, W.A. Hoogduin
The results in treating the obsessive-compulsives used to be poor. Meyer, Rachman , Foa and Emmelkamp did change this scene. They developped a strategy of exposure and response prevention. This treatment mostly was given in clinical settings and in a supervised way. In this article a plea is held to applicate the exposure and response prevention, non-supervised, in an out-patient setting. The results of this way of application do not differ from the supervised strategy given in clinical settings.
