Description of the experiences with the first 80 male alcoholics in a new hospital department for addicts.
Some somatic, psychiatrie and sociological data are given. With the threefold purpose of the clinic as a basis, some problems regarding abstinente, diagnostics and treatment are briefly discussed.
It is emphasized, that special attention must be paid to the 'process-nature' of chronic alcoholism: reciprocal conditioning factors in alcoholism are of essential importante for diagnostics and treatment.
